My name is Christopher L. Schilling and I’m a published writer, ordained minister, and the creator of Little Blue Roads.
In the small country town of Hookstown, Pennsylvania you will find a small and windy country road that once served as pass-through for individuals on their way to West Virginia and onto Ohio. With lush green hills and tall maple trees along the way, Little Blue Road consisted of many wonderful neighbors who gave support, encouragement, empowerment, and inspiration to one another and anyone who passed through on their journey.
While industrial development has caused the road not in its fullness today as it once was when I was growing up, I created this website to reflect what this road meant to me as a child and all those who lived on it. And that is a community of individuals from all-inclusive backgrounds who give support and encouragement to one another no matter who they are or where on the journey of life they may be.
Little Blue Roads is a website of meditations from an open and affirming, fully inclusive Christian perspective with the purpose to empower and encourage individuals regardless of who they are or where on the journey of life they may be.
Much like the serene natural beauty one could see while driving on this small country road where I was raised, it’s my hope that you will find encouragement and empowerment through the themes of individuality, connectivity, transcendence, and renewal no matter who you are, where your story begins, or where you may be on your spiritual journey.
